Quest has installed what is believed to be the first totally wireless POS solution in a major stadium or arena. The Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, and their technology partner Nortel Networks provided the platform for Quest to deliver the most advanced wireless POS system for a major event based venue.

The Bell Centre's fully redundant and secure wireless network consists of 130 Nortel Access Points throughout the venue.  This network provides high speed connectivity to almost 200 POS terminals, as well as servicing all other WiFi technology requirements within the arena.

The Police concert on the 25^th and 26^th July, when the arena was at maximum capacity with 22,000 fans was the first real test, and the Quest POS Solution performed flawlessly. “This success is a tribute to the commitment of Quest’s installation team and the project planning of Mr. Belzile – Director of IT at Bell Centre" stated Jason Brown, Quest – VP Business Development

A variety of Quest hardware including VS wireless concession terminals, completely portable VX concession terminals, Touch Screens, Handheld devices and vending stations are all integrated and communicate in real-time with Quest Venue Manager, the industry leading back office application. QVM’s event based inventory and sales data provides the Bell Centre with the management tools required to effectively and accurately operate their Food and Beverage business, and deliver their customers a better gameday experience.

The Bell Centre is home to the 24 time Stanley Cup Champion Montreal Canadians, and plays host to a great variety of concerts and events all year round.
