Quest Retail Technology has officially launched its Venue Manager back office solution into the European Stadium and Arena market at Stadia Europe 2006 in Munich Germany.

Quest VP of Business Development Jason Brown said “Following on from our great success in providing comprehensive solutions to Stadiums and Arenas in North America and Australia / New Zealand we always planned to move into the rapidly developing market in Europe”.

“Over 80 venues are currently under construction or in the detailed planning stages, add to this the advances in RF and POS technology and you have a market that is ready to fire.  It is certainly an exciting time to be involved with the Sports and Entertainment Industry around the world.”

Mr Brown went on to say, “Our in-house engineering team have expanded the back office software functionality to ensure true multi-lingual support which is obviously essential for this region.  This enables all the functionality and benefits that the largest stadiums in North America enjoy to be instantly available to venues in Germany, France, Italy and Spain.”

“There was certainly plenty of activity and we had fantastic interest from places as diverse as Finland, Turkey and Nigeria as well as Adelaide, Australia!”

Mr Brown was also joined at the show by Quest General Manager, Tim Stollznow who presented a well attended overview to conference delegates of how wireless network and RFID can be used in venues to increase effectiveness and drive spending revenue.

It was a real multi-lingual affair with Cinetec CEO and Quest representative from Spain, Mr Richard Haritver joining the team at the booth to ensure we had a good coverage of the languages of Europe.

Quest Retail Technology has more than  40,000 POS terminals installed in 20 countries for a diverse range of applications including bars, clubs, restaurants, fast food, stadiums, arenas, racecourses, theme parks, cinemas and franchises.
